At a time in history with the uncertainties we are currently experiencing, the increasing need to switch off and relax has led to the abandonment of minimalism, and a push towards the exact opposite, i.e. layering, maximalism, playfulness and irony, opening the door to the broad theme of play.

Among the major issues which simultaneously fascinate and disconcert humankind, the almost taboo subject of esotericism will be increasingly legitimised and brought out into the open. Speaking about it is healthy, as well as seeing it represented, because it helps to get rid of the often profound, primordial and basically anachronistic thoughts and fears related to it – we don’t want these any more, especially during a period with much more contingent worries.
